Monthly Update – Des Moines Professional Center
Welcome to the first of the Building Smart Spaces monthly blog entries. This blog is intended to network owners and tenants and to share important building information . We hope that the information we provide on the blog will help to increase building security, decrease expenses, and help us all to become more aware of our built, shared and natural environments. Constructive feedback and comments (in the comment section) are much appreciated.
March Re-cap @ The Des Moines Professional Center (DMPC)
Although not much changed in the common areas of the Des Moines Professional Center (DMPC) in March, behind the scenes we are preparing several improvements that are pretty much ready to launch.
Directory Signage
The Directory Signage is being fabricated and we hope to have it completed and installed by the end of next week.
Mailboxes
New mailboxes will be installed in the back entry at the same time (sorry folks, the old mismatched ones will be returned to their rightful owners). The bank of mailboxes will have an outgoing slot per your recommendations. We will distribute keys upon its installation.
Security
We are seeking bids for a controlled access entry system to the building and/or a higher security key system to help keep the building safe and secure.
A new sidewalk is slated to be constructed in the back alleyway- for all of those who really though they were missing that!
(City Code Required)
Construction of Sidewalk
DURING CONSTRUCTION THE DUMPSTERS WILL BE RELOCATED TO ONE OF THE ADJACENT PARKING SPACES; PLEASE BE CAREFUL TO MAKE SURE GARBAGE GETS INTO THE CONTAINERS AND THE LIDS ARE ALWAYS CLOSED. Thanks.
Finally- this friday Igor, the Real Assets carpenter, will be on site to work on a project near the elevator on the first floor lobby. I have asked him to keep his footprint to a minimum. Please try to be patient as he works and let me know if it causes any excessive disruption.
Consumption and Conservation
This space is saved for future use to provide tenants with graphic and data analysis of utility and waste consumption at the building. It is our hope that by sharing this information with tenants we will be able work together to reduce our utility consumption and waste generation to save money and do our part to minimize our footprint.
Tenant Spotlight
In the future, this section will be used to highlight building tenants as well as promote their products and services.
Available Properties:
Real Assets leases space in Des Moines and all around town, so if you or someone you know is looking for additional space or needs tenant representation, please let us know.
