Introducing: Smart Spaces TARP!

April 17th, 2011

Everyone can’t be in the business of saving the planet. But every business can easily make a difference by making sure that the supplies they purchase don’t come at a big cost to the environment. For all Real Assets tenants, we now have added incentive to choose green supplies: the Smart Spaces TARP (Tenant Appreciation & Rewards Program)!

Simply by being a part of the Real Assets family, you can take advantage of great discounts from these great local businesses.  Call the following vendors and tell them that you would like to order using your Smart Spaces rewards account.  With us all pooled together we’ve negotiated big business bulk pricing which you will automatically receive when you use the Smart Spaces account.

XPedx: Smart savings on recycled-content paper products, including:

  • Harbor100: 100% recycled-content paper made nearby in Gray’s Harbor, WA!
    Retail cost = $56.40/carton. Smart Spaces cost = $48.90/carton.
That’s a savings of 13%, which pays for delivery to your doorstep. Plus, if you order $150 or more, delivery is free!
  • Mohawk 100% recycled-content color laser paper – fantastic for presentations!
    Retail cost = $89.52/carton, Smart Spaces cost = $81.92/carton
Save nearly 10% off of this reliably high-quality paper.
  • Preservation 100% recycled content plain envelopes
    Retail cost = $72.45/carton, Smart Spaces = $58.45!
    WOW! That’s almost 20% off!

Keep in mind delivery is available inexpensively (beats lugging reams up the stairs).  With a few reams delivery is free!

Coastwide: Offering 15-25% discounts on a wide variety of cleaning products, soaps, recycled-content paper towels and other paper products. On their Smart Spaces, Tenant Rewards order form, you’ll find everything from environmentally-friendly glass cleaner to luxurious foaming soap.  Contact Adam Simon or the kind folks at Coastwide for an order form – you won’t be disappointed!

This is just the beginning of our Appreciation and Rewards program. We’re working hard to secure even more great savings for Smart Spaces tenants. If you are a Smart Spaces retail tenant interested in offering discounts through this program, please call Adam Simon at 206-686-6362.

Corner Signage Available at 6th@Lander

April 17th, 2011

Several tenants at 6th@Lander have requested signage facing the intersection of 6th and Lander.   Real Assets would like to ensure that signage is both available and not cost prohibitive.  Therefore we have developed a signage plan that provides adequate space for multiple businesses without cluttering the exterior facade. The signs installation and tenants participation will be administered by the building management.

We are asking those who would like to utilize the sign to pay a user fee which will assist with the costs of fabrication and installation.  The sign will be available for tenant’s use throughout the duration of your lease term.

Please call Peter Kuchan, 206-375-5982, if you have any questions or would like to participate.

Congrats! to 1617

April 12th, 2011

Even we at Real Assets are shocked to learn that 1617 Boylston has achieved an Energy Star rating of 95 (out of 100).  Assuming complex-computer-programs-that-the-government-pours-billions-of-dollars-into do not lie, you guys deserve a pat on the back.  A rating of 70 or higher gets you the Energy Star award, so you guys have qualified with honors.  If only you could sell the extra points like tax credits, ah!

Congratulations!

Reminder About Styrofoam Recycling

March 23rd, 2011

Please remember styrofoam is recyclable at 6th@Lander and that collection boxes are located in the vending area AND in the rear garbage area.  HOWEVER, only hard, clean styrofoam is acceptable. Softer types of foam and soft packing peanuts are not recyclable and, if left in the boxes, INCREASE the garbage rates at the building.  Please separate your styrofoam carefully and read the rules near the box.

  • no plastic tape/labels on foam
  • no bubble wrap
  • foam wrap
  • no soft packing peanuts (hard packing peanuts are ok)

The Styrofoam is ground up and mixed with concrete to form blocks that are used to build energy efficient homes and other structures.
